You mentioned an inquiry by the credit card company. Did your mom attempt a chargeback? If not, that's definitely the way to go when things get that bad.

apparently because we took the bus (and did not refuse it which would have meant people not being able to get to the wedding).. we are unable to reverse the charges, according the the credit card company. UGH!
